My Shameless Plug for Oregon

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Oregon? I actually might love it as much as I love my husband or my parents and brother... But I am bias because it is home to me! For those out there who have never visited- in my opinion it is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL places in the world!! So if you are looking for a cheap vacation, a road trip or just somewhere that will make you feel small in comparison to the beauty, the largeness of the ocean, the green, the quiet, etc, etc look no further than Oregon for your next trip!!  Here are a few pics from my trip to prove how darn great it is....

I also miss Oregon. I have transported myself to New Mexico for many years and I love the sun here. However, I miss my ocean and the green and the mist over the lake and the fog when it rolls in, and the sound of crashing white water in the rivers. Sigh!

I believe you 100%! I adore the Washington coast and I imagine Oregon is very similar.
My father, unfortunately long gone, always spoke in glowing terms about the beauty of the Oregon Coast, where he spent his youth.

I just found your blog and am bouncing around looking at various projects. The name of this post caught my attention, and I agree! My husband did the majority of his growing up in Oregon and we lived there for two years on sabbatical (contemplating a permanent move which ended up not being feasible job wise.) I talk in glowing terms about Oregon and get excited for people when they talk about a trip. I then inundate them with information on things to do and see that I love. We visited each corner of the state in our two years and lots of places in between - the diversity is amazing and something I always mention. Happily my husband has family there still and we visit almost yearly (unhappily the same cannot be said for where I grew up, the also quite beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York state.) Berry season is the best and we come home loaded with marrionberry syrup and jelly and dark chocolate covered hazelnuts (Hazelnut Hill).
